What to dip spring rolls in,well in the US,all takeout Chinese comes with handfuls of packets of soy sauce,hot sauce,and a sweet fruity sauce,so you mix them together in the proportions you like,I like mine heavy on the hot sauce,Years ago,though even now one place in my neighborhood gives you packets of colmans mustard,in the place of the hot sauce.

For me spring roll would be dipped with sweet chilli sauce 🤤

No wonder some Brits who ordered Chinese Takeaway in the US were confused.The only thing in yours I recognize as Chinese is the Spring Rolls.The sweet and sour looks like a Thai version I make but mine has hot green chiles as well as red bells.That is not the fried rice you will get over here,ours is way more seasoned and has more veggies.Also fries/chips are on the kid menu,along with hamburgers,though you can order fried wonton strips which are very crispy and some menus have potato dishes.

Chinese is prohibitively spenny these days. Popped in my local last week to grab some chips on way home, they thought I’d moved away because I’d not ordered in so long. I make my own these days…

Another great review, Deano! I find fakeaways are hit and miss. Although the ASDA chicken Madras and Uncle Bens rice is definitely a close hit. Especially when you add a few onion bhajis as well. 👍

I do prefer going to a Chinese restaurant Deano chap…..when l use to live in the UK I use to get Sainsbury’s Indian take away meal for 2, it was scrumptious 👌👌 Nice video chap, £8.50 good value

you can't beat iceland 3 for £6 deal on indian or chinese.. and they just bought a new one shanghai beef and noodles.. had it last night with my son and we both said it was really good.. oh i had the special fried rice with it and a big bag of prawn crackers between us from lidl.. just over £7.. bargain

Just subscribed to your channel 👍,but I've got a Chinese takeaway by me which is the best Chinese food I've ever tasted and the portions are massive,i ordered Chinese chicken curry and chips last night and i struggled to eat it all,but what i do i order house special Chow Mein at the same time which i stick in the fridge once cooled and get another two meals out of it plus saving me £1:50 on another delivery charge and it only cost me around £17 for all of it plus you get free prawn crackers 😋

Better to buy 2 chicken breasts Aldi, any of their Chinese stir in sauce and use a wok. No additives. Can do for £10 Next level chicken erm no.

These are actually spot on for us singletons. Split the rice, spring rolls and crackers in half and pair them with one of the mains and you’ve 2 full meals to last 2 days. Considering the price of ready meals alone these days it works out better value this way.

A while back they was a fiver i brought loads , morrisons do a frozen battered chicken sweet and sour thats not bad , you can tell they sell out , think thats £1.79 may be wrong thats of memory

The problem for me is they don't taste like takeaway. They are just the microwave meals with the sides repackaged. They are all fine, but they are not the same thing.
